TNT Post Save Scottish Public Sector Millions

Our Scotland region has been awarded a new three to four year contract from Scottish Procurement that means we will be able to offer postal management and postage savings across all areas of the Scottish Public Sector. 

The contract, awarded for the second time in succession, enables us to widen our offer to now include Scottish Government, Housing Associations, Charities and APUC, (Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges), as well as NHS Scotland and all local councils, most of which have been using the existing contracted 2nd class post services since 2009.

Meet the Team – David Baker – Project Manager

Dave Baker began working with us at TNT Post in September 2005. 

As a project manager, Dave’s role currently focuses on looking after mailing houses nationwide,  including Scotland and Northern Ireland for software and hardware. 

Dave also look’s to secure new Depots for TNT Post’s ever expanding operation. We’ve found out a little more about Dave…

TNT Post Prepares For Direct Challenge

TNT Post, Royal Mail’s largest private sector rival, plans to go head-to-head with the state-owned postal operator by launching its own delivery service for bulk and direct mail. 

The move would break Royal Mail’s near monopoly of the “final mile” of delivery of letters to homes and offices and could create thousands of jobs at TNT Post.  We’ve trialed the service in Liverpool and are now looking at launching it in other urban centres.

VAT'S Going On At Royal Mail

From 2 April 2012, all Royal Mail bulk mail services will be subject to VAT. That’s on top of the general postal price rise, also due in April. If you currently use Royal Mail, the impact of these price measures will be felt on your bottom line. Act now however, and you can mitigate against them.

TNT Post and QVC work together to get presents to Afghanistan

 

TNT Post UK and QVC, the online shopping channel, have been working hard to ensure that the troops in Afghanistan receive presents from loved ones this Christmas. As part of QVC’s ‘’Gifts for Soldiers’ programme, TNT Post UK was asked to help transport Christmas gift boxes free of charge within the UK, ready for despatch to serving troops.

DMA Awards 2011

Last night, Wednesday 7th December 2011, was the Direct Marketing Association's Annual Awards Ball in Old Billingsgate. The DMA Awards are arguably the biggest event in the Direct Marketing calendar attended by hundreds of clients and agencys to celebrate the best work in our industry and we were honoured to be the headline sponsors. 

For our data collection campaign in collaboration with Thornton's and Acxion we were delighted to win the Silver for Best Use of Door Drop and Gold for the Best Customer Acquisition campaign. These awards are very prestigious and we were extremely proud to recieve them alongside our client, Acxiom. Overall it was a fantastic evening and a perfect way to end an excellent year of achievements for TNT Post.
