Our Scotland region has been awarded a new three to four year contract from Scottish Procurement that means we will be able to offer postal management and postage savings across all areas of the Scottish Public Sector.

The contract, awarded for the second time in succession, enables us to widen our offer to now include Scottish Government, Housing Associations, Charities and APUC, (Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges), as well as NHS Scotland and all local councils, most of which have been using the existing contracted 2nd class post services since 2009.

To date the Scottish Public Sector has saved £3.5 million through their existing contract. With the potential to handle well over 150 million items of post annually, continued savings of this magnitude will make a considerable difference to the Scottish tax payer.

The latest contract award, due to start 1st March '12, includes 2nd class, FirstSort (next day) and the recently launched Hybrid postal service.

Already generating enormous interest, our Hybrid postal service offers potential savings of over 60% with complete ease of installation and use. Customers can now send any volume of letters direct from their PC to TNT Post's Scottish based production facility where the items are printed, enveloped and prepared for postage. This ground breaking process severely cuts costs relating to stationary, labour and actual postage plus it reduces the amount of post being sent through the customers' own mailroom.

The service will be hugely beneficial to every aspect of the public sector including NHS appointment letters and all types of transactional post.

Nick Wells, CEO said, " We are delighted to win this contract for a second time with an expanded remit. Our proven service quality combined with cost saving won the day and with addition of Hybrid post we look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Public Sector in Scotland."
