Dave Baker began working with us at TNT Post in September 2005.

As a project manager, Dave’s role currently focuses on looking after mailing houses nationwide,  including Scotland and Northern Ireland for software and hardware.

Dave also look’s to secure new Depots for TNT Post’s ever expanding operation. We’ve found out a little more about Dave…

Where and when were you born?

I was born in 1964 in a little village in Somerset called Cheddar, famous for its Cheese and the Cheddar Gorge.

Who would be your ideal three dinner guests?

Michael Palin, Ray Mears and Joanna Lumely – I’m convinced there would be some very good stories told!

What would you most like to do in your lifetime?

Retrace the route of Ernesto Guevara through South America when he was a medical student. The Motorcycle Diaries film documents this... a great adventure on an old BSA Motorcycle and a cracking film. Ernesto later became the Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara.

What was the first record you bought?

Top of the Pops! I can't remember the number but I think it was 76 and had a very nice mother Christmas on the cover. Rod Stewart, Slade, Sweet and all thoe Glam rock bands featured on it.

What CD are you currently listening to? Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Elbow and other compilations.

What is your favourite sport and team?

I’ve never actually been keen on sports or teams. If I had to choose it would be Rugby and I'd support Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

What did you want to become as a child?

Hmmm that's a tough one... a deep sea diver was a favourite and I also had aspirations of being a writer.

What have been your highlights at TNT Post?

There have been so many! Working with my colleagues on the Santander implementation was a great moment. That had to be the best multiple implementation we have done and I believe we won Santander's Supplier of the Year that year!

The other one that springs to mind was leaving Marlow in the snow and being stranded in my car along with a few hundred other drivers and then deciding to walk up the A404 in the dark with a colleague to the Holiday Inn and meeting more TNT People and making sure we all had beds across the two rooms we had booked.
