TNT Post Strengthens Management Team

TNT Post, the UK’s largest private mail delivery firm, has restructured its operational management team with the promotion of Jon Ormond to Director of DSA Operations, Dean Hulse to Director of Transport and Gary Robinson to Director of End to End.  The new appointments take effect from 1 February 2013.  Current Director of Operations, Martijn de Lange leaves the business to become Operations Director within Hermes UK at the end of March.

TNT Post moves into LGV Driver Training

TNT Post, the UK’s second largest postal provider, has announced that it has begun offering LGV driver training in a variety of locations across the UK.

The company is offering courses for the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence, introduced by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) in 2009 as a compulsory qualification for LGV drivers in the UK. The courses are DSA approved and once completed, drivers will receive a certificate to prove they have attended each module. They will then be issued with a Driver Qualification card by the DVLA on completion of the full 35 hours training.

Employment Minister Visits TNT Post

Tens of thousands of long-term unemployed are getting off benefits and into jobs through the Government's Work Programme, new figures have revealed. 

The Government figures published today show that at least 56 per cent of the scheme’s earliest participants have come off benefits, with 19 per cent spending at least six consecutive months off benefits.
