For many of you, having your mail delivered to you by two different posties both from different postal providers is confusing. We appreciate that you may not be fully aware of the reasons as to why we decided to start delivering mail to areas within the UK. So here are some answers to frequently asked questions that you may have regarding our E2E service that could help you to understand it in more detail:
What is this service called?
Our delivery service is called End-to-End, or E2E as it can also be known as. It represents the collection of mail through to the mail delivery, from start to finish.
What is the process of the service?
We start by collecting mail from the customer (a national or local business or public sector organisation not a member of the general public). We then sort the mail when required at one of our depots. The mail is then trunked to our delivery units ready for the delivery rounds. Our Posties then hand deliver each mail item to its location by bike or on foot and scan the item that is posted through your letterbox.
Why have you started to deliver mail items?
Since 2004 we have been the second largest postal provider in the UK. We started by collecting and sorting mail for business customers before passing to Royal Mail for delivery to businesses and homes. In April 2012 we decided to provide businesses with choice by offering an alternative delivery postal service for sending out their mail items. Starting in West London our service has since extended to other areas in South West and North West London, Manchester and Liverpool with the intention of creating a nationwide delivery network to households across the UK by 2015.
Who do you deliver mail for?
We deliver mail for local and national businesses and public sector organisations who are sending mail to households and other businesses within our End-to-End catchment areas. We do not collect or deliver mail items on behalf of the general public.
Do you have a post box or work with the Post Office?
We do not provide post boxes or work with the Post Office, we only collect mail from businesses. Our E2E service is a business to consumer service.
Do you offer a re-direction service?
We currently do not offer a re-direction service but we can extract your address from our system. This will mean that any items for this address will be passed to Royal Mail for delivery. This can take up to a month to set up, please contact our dedicated E2E customer services team by calling 01628 861341 or email [email protected] providing your address details.
Who will be delivering my mail?
Since we started this service in 2012 we have created over 3000 new jobs many who are now delivering mail items to your door. Depending on your location (see our E2E catchment areas), you will receive mail from two different types of postie; our postie and a Royal Mail postman.
How can I tell the difference between my mail being delivered by you and by Royal Mail?
Well firstly, you can tell by seeing who walks up your garden path. Royal Mail postmen and women are recognisable as they have been the symbol of the local postie for decades, wearing a red and blue uniform. Our posties can be identified by wearing black and orange uniform and either riding an orange bike or by pushing an orange trolley. Here is a photo of our posties out on a round:
Secondly, you can check the indicia on the top right hand corner of your mail piece. There are two different options of what you may see. If it was delivered by us there will be no other indication of Royal Mail or any other postal provider on there just TNT Post (see below left) . If it is delivered by Royal Mail then it will have their indicia stating ‘Delivered by Royal Mail’ (see below right).

We hope this information has been helpful and provided you with a better understanding of our delivery service. If you live in our End-to End catchment areas then please keep an eye out for our friendly posties when they are on their rounds.
