TNT Post launches services in Bath

TNT Post brings lower postal costs to Bath businesses

20 March 2007

TNT Post, the leading challenger to Royal Mail in the UK postal market, is today launching its service in Bath offering local businesses an easy to use, cost effective and reliable mail service which will help save them valuable time and money.

TNT Post is holding a day of intensive promotional activity to reach as many businesses in Bath as possible. The day starts at the Bath Spa Hotel with a breakfast seminar where South West team members, Trevor Murphy and Kevin Parsons, will present their offering to local business people. TNT Post representatives will then be available to local businesses in central Bath.

Launched in November 2006, TNT Post South West Ltd offers 'PremierSort Flex', a day definite mailing solution designed specifically to benefit local businesses that send from 250 unsorted mail items per day or have weekly, monthly or irregular mailshot requirements. TNT Post will collect all mail from clients, process these items on state-of-the-art sortation equipment and ensure final mile delivery into the recipients' letterbox. Businesses in the Bath area also benefit from a dedicated local account management team.

Trevor Murphy, Managing Director, TNT Post South West Ltd, commenting on the launch said:

“The launch of TNT Post South West Ltd in Bath offers a wealth of new opportunities to businesses in the local area. The deregulation of the mail postal market last year is not only good news for large national mailers but also for small to medium sized local businesses. Bath businesses now have a choice and that choice is TNT Post.

With PremierSort Flex, companies in Bath are able to experience a fast, easy to use and reliable postal service for mailings of 250 letters or more that offers flexible pick up times, dedicated account management, day definite delivery and considerable savings that will impact the company's bottom line.”

TNT Post South West Ltd is part of TNT Post which was established in early 2003. TNT Post signed its downstream access agreement with Royal Mail in April 2004 and began operations in August 2004. Since its launch it has enjoyed significant growth and is now widely regarded as the leading competitor to Royal Mail, processing over 120 million items a month to households across the UK.

In a relatively short time TNT Post has impressed businesses with its innovation, high-level service approach and cutting-edge technology investments to notch up some significant wins across a range of sectors now including customers such as BT, Centrica, Thames Water, npower, Lloyds TSB, Barclays, Sainsbury's, Next, Sky and T-Mobile.
