TNT Post North appoints Jim McCabe as New Business Development Manager

TNT Post, the leading competitor to Royal Mail in the UK postal market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim McCabe as New Business Development Manager. Based in Manchester, Jim will report into Andy Goddard, Managing Director of TNT Post North and will be responsible for developing new business initiatives in the north of England and growing the company’s rapidly expanding client base. He will manage a team of 6 staff.

Jim joins TNT Post North with more than 27 years of experience working in the mail market. Previously, Jim spent 25 years at Royal Mail working in a number of roles, most recently as strategic relationship manager where he was responsible for managing the agency agreement between Royal Mail and Spring which is 51 per cent owned by TNT Post. He also has experience working in the United States mail market, one of the world’s largest postal markets.

Jim’s appointment comes as TNT Post’s business continues to thrive in the North following its launch a year ago this month. The company now boasts a customer base of more than 170 local businesses, with the majority now receiving TNT Post North’s Premier Flex, a two to three day postal service, with Royal Mail continuing to carry out the final mile delivery to customers’ homes nationwide. Current customers come from a range of sectors and include Liverpool FC, Hawkshead, a mail order clothing company and Candis Magazine, a monthly subscription magazine for women.

The Premier Flex service is specifically tailored to meet the needs of small to medium sized businesses or companies that have lower business mail volumes and offers valuable benefits to local businesses such as: flexible pick up times, cost savings, use of tracking systems that enable improved visibility and management, and a fast and reliable high level of service.
