TNT Mail Completes Management Line Up
- Theo Hoenders appointed Operations Director
- Andy Goddard appointed Head of Sales
TNT Mail, the main challenger to Royal Mail in the UK deregulated postal market, has appointed Theo Hoenders as Operations Director, based at its head office in Maidenhead.
Hoenders' appointment completes the management team at TNT Mail, headed by Nick Wells Chief Executive and supported by David Higham Development Director. The 43 year old has a seat on the board.
Hoenders will be responsible for developing TNT Mail's on-going operational strategy including its UK downstream access and end-to-end delivery capability. He brings to the role a wealth of postal distribution, delivery, logistical and operational experience, having managed Europe's largest sorting centre in Amsterdam which has 1300 staff.
The operations team was recently boosted with the appointments of Chris O'Malley and Robert Ingrams from DX Services.
TNT Mail also announced a second key appointment, with Andy Goddard joining the team as Head of Sales reporting to David Higham, Development Director. Goddard will lead a growing sales division covering the finance, utilities and telecomms and mailing house customer sectors. Andy, 43, has a strong industry background having worked previously at Royal Mail and Express Dairies. He brings over twenty years experience of sales management and account management for major blue chip companies.
TNT Mail announced recently that it expects to handle 200 million items of mail in 2005 based upon current client list including Sky, Caudwell Communications, Express Gifts, and Booker.
TNT Mail CEO, Nick Wells, said:
"I am delighted that Theo and Andy have joined us. They bring to the company a formidable level of experience and now have the opportunity to help us build upon the excellent start we made in 2004. 2005 will be a significant year for TNT Mail when we intend to consolidate our position as the main challenger to Royal Mail in the UK."
Theo Hoenders, Operations Director, said:
"This is an exciting time to be working in the UK postal market and I look forward to building TNT Mail's operational capability in the UK, not just through our relationship with Royal Mail but through our own end to end delivery service."
Andy Goddard, Head of Sales, said:
"The postal market is full of excitement and change and customers are increasingly interested in alternative mail services. This is a unique opportunity to be working with such a dynamic new entrant and I look forward to expanding TNT Mail's customer base."
TNT Mail is the only new entrant in the deregulated postal market to also offer an end-to-end delivery service through its relationship with Express Dairies, with the potential to reach six million households.
