3D: it's on the cards with TNT Post

TNT Post adds new dimension to direct mail with the launch of 3-DM

TNT Post is bringing the first true 3D effect direct mail product to the UK with the launch of 3-DM this week. Designed and customised by the sender, the 3D card aims to offer a new and unique way of communicating marketing messages to customers by provoking immediate impact on the viewer.

The dimensional effects of 3-DM can be viewed from any angle without tilting the product and produce a realistic impression of floating elements within the card. TNT Post's 3-DM is based on a new printing technique which creates the illusion of depth and cannot be achieved by any other method at present in the UK.

To produce a 3-DM mailing, senders simply supply their design to TNT Post, who will work with the organisation to perfect the layout and produce a sample mailer, ready for issue within three weeks. The mailing can be produced in A6 or A5 format, which can either be enclosed in an envelope or sent as postcard.

3-DM is the latest innovation in TNT Post's portfolio which aims to increase cut through with customers on the doormat. 3-DM will sit alongside products including yourStamp, which allows customers to design their own stamps for addressed mail. In addition, customers will be urged to limit the environmental impact of their mailings through TNT Post's CarbonNeutral mailing service.

Nick Wells, chief executive of TNT Post UK comments:

"Direct mail is an excellent channel for achieving one to one communication with customers and more emotional intensity than any other medium. The statistics prove its success in driving revenue* and its importance to the bottom line. However, in a busy market businesses are always looking for new ideas to gain cut-through. Our 3-DM product was specifically designed to give our customers more choice in DM design and a unique creativity that catches the eye and gets people talking."
