TNT Post launches new web-based service for small volume business mailers.

TNT-it allows small volume mailers to reap benefits of postal deregulation

TNT Post has launched an innovative hybrid postal service, TNT-it, which removes the need for users to print, fulfill and post documents, thus saving time and money. Users can now send their letters and documents straight from their PC to TNT Post’s print and fulfillment facilities where these are automatically printed, folded, placed in an envelope and posted. By using this service, businesses do not have to invest in stationary, franking machines or stamps and do not have to manage direct collection from the premises.

This new service meets a number of business needs, like convenience, ease of use, more time to prepare the mail and the possibility to electronically recall and archive documents that have been sent. Users receive electronic confirmation when a letter has been produced and posted. TNT-it is an ideal integrated solution for businesses with fragmented mail production, for smaller organisations that have no post room facilities, to those who wish to run their accounts systems and companies that want to run a monthly payroll or a mailshot marketing campaign. The service is particularly beneficial for businesses that send most of their mail locally as it will be delivered on day two.

As part of a staged roll out of the service, TNT Post is working with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce which is marketing the service to its members. The service will then be extended to other businesses in the North, followed by the rest of the UK in coming months.

TNT-it allows small mail users in the region to benefit from the deregulation of the UK postal market for the first time. To date, deregulation has had the greatest impact on businesses with large volumes but now with TNT-it, businesses with small and irregular mail volumes can benefit from the cost savings and efficiencies TNT Post can provide. TNT-it is launching with a number of clients including Quality Ornamentals, the Sales and Marketing arm of the Northwest's leading bedding plant producer based in Stockport.

Paul Brooking, General Manager, Quality Ornamentals, who is already using the service said: "After a short trial period we became enthusiastic customers. We have not had to envelope a single invoice or monthly statement. Invoicing is obviously vital but it was also a very time consuming exercise to us. Postage and stationery costs have now reduced by more than 40%, our cash flow position has improved and we have been able to spend more time with clients."

Nick Wells, Chief Executive for TNT Post in the UK, said: "TNT-it is testament to our promise to innovate and deliver real changes in the postal market. This is a great product, which has the flexibility to meet a wide range of needs, whilst saving money and time and reducing the company’s carbon footprint. It’s the perfect solution for businesses with small and irregular mail volumes and we are delighted to launch it in the North and look forward to rolling out the service across the UK in the coming months."
