TNT Post expands offering to customers in the North
New postal service for packets launched

TNT Post, the leading competitor to Royal Mail in the UK postal market, today announced the launch of its new packets delivery service, PremierPacket, to businesses in the North. The new service will see local companies benefit from sizeable savings on packets going anywhere in the UK.
The announcement is a key part of TNT Post’s strategy which aims to offer customers a complete postal delivery solution for all types of mail. The company expects the new service to make a considerable impact in the home delivery market, a sector which has grown significantly given the increasing number of consumers choosing to shop online.
In developing the new service, TNT Post has invested heavily in the latest sorting machinery which processes up to 6000 packets an hour. TNT Post’s offering in the North will collect, consolidate and sort packets from customers in the North of England and will then hand over to Royal Mail to carry out delivery over the final mile.
Customers who use the service will benefit from a two to three day cost effective and reliable service for packets of up to 2kg. Building upon current infrastructure already in place, TNT Post will be able to offer customers 100 per cent national coverage and plan to invest further into packet sorting machinery. The company is well positioned to develop a leading role in this market.
The launch of this new packets service follows a string of successes for TNT Post in the North, which now boasts a customer base of over 170 businesses in the region, and has won local business contracts in a range of sectors including mail order, retailers and manufacturing companies. This year Liverpool FC signed a contract for PremierSort Flex, a two to three day postal service, with Royal Mail continuing to carry out the final mile delivery to customers’ homes nationwide.
